Color Series - Luscious Lavender

A few weeks ago, in our color series, we covered Rich and Regal Purples, a popular choice for weddings. But since Spring tends to bring out the lighter shades, today we are going to chat about the lovely color of Lavender.

When we talked about the color Purple, I told you that it is created by combining calming blue with fierce red. The same applies for Lavender but in the lighter hues of baby blue and pink, or with the addition of white. Lavender usually has more of a bluish hue where Lilac or Mauve can be slightly pinkish.

Many consider the color Lavender to be a more grown up version of Light Pink. It is a delicate and feminine color that is said to represent something special, unique, or precious and can invoke feelings of nostalgia and romance.

Lavender can be paired with lots of other colors as well. Pair it with Light Pink or Mint Green for a soft Springtime look or pair with light blues for a cool beachy vibe. Up the sophistication by pairing it with grey or keep it earthy by pairing with neutral tans or browns.

If you have a love for Lavender, then be sure to add Lavender rose petals to your next event! Perfect for Weddings, Bridal or Baby Showers, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Romantic Evenings. Take a look at our Lavender and Love Affair petals...
