“Jungle Rescue” Rose Parade Float

“Jungle Rescue” Rose Parade Float Covered in Flyboy Naturals Freeze Dried Petals

Did you watch the 2015 Rose Parade? One of the fabulous floats, titled "Jungle Rescue", was covered in hundreds of thousands of our Freeze Dried Petals!

The theme of this year's parade was "Inspiring Stories" and it included a total of 39 floats. Of those 39 floats only 6 were self-built, including "Jungle Rescue" from the City of Burbank. “Jungle Rescue” featured animals, including a gorilla, a giraffe, an elephant, and several monkeys, helping extinguish a fire at a toucan’s birdhouse, paying homage to volunteer firefighters. The float even won an award! It received the Past Presidents’ Award for having the most creative design and use of floral and non-floral materials.

Hundreds of thousands of Flyboy Naturals freeze dried petals helped create the float. From the pink inside the elephants ears to the feathers on the birds. They even used some of the petals for the lips and cheeks of the animals. Rose petals in white, yellow, pink and orange were used, as well as dark purple lilac and purple hydrangea petals. Take a look at the award winning float...

It takes a large number of volunteers to decorate the float and two of them are doing a great job here!
