Wedding Trends for 2015: Themes!

Wedding Trends for 2015: Themes!

With the start of the new year comes a lot of buzz about what's going to be Hot in the Wedding world. So today, I am going to share with you some of the predicted wedding themes that keep popping up for 2015!

It seems that no matter what your style or theme, there will be an increase in elegance and sophistication. Still want a Rustic wedding? Step away from the mason jars and burlap and instead try using sleek metallic containers atop a bare wood table. Another big trend, be personal! Your wedding should represent you as a couple, so include personal details that tell your story...like this couple did with their rose petal toss.  Such a fun photo!

The experts are seeing everything from Modern and Minimalist to Lush and Opulent, so the key is to do what fits for you and your venue. That being said there are few specific themes that should make a big impact in 2015. Industrial Chic, Bohemian, Vintage and Woodland.

Industrial Chic is all about the venue. Think lofts or warehouses with interesting architecture, exposed brick or duct work, and an urban vibe. Let the venue be the main focus for this trend and keep your flowers and other details clean and simple.

Bohemian weddings started to gain popularity in 2014 and this trend is going to continue into 2015. Bohemian weddings are laid back, casual and unpretentious, but can still be very elegant. Think flowing dresses and floral crowns, unstructured and fresh picked floral arrangements, eclectic dishware and centerpieces. This wedding is whimsical and artistic.

The Vintage trend is another one we saw a lot of in 2014, but look for 2015 to bring a more modern and elegant twist on the trend. Many wedding experts are expecting to see more 1930's style glamour and lots of romance. They also see Brides incorporating a few vintage style details in whatever their chosen trend is, going back to the idea of personalized weddings.

Last but certainly not least is the Woodland trend. This is your outdoor, Rustic meets Garden, wedding but as I mentioned earlier, we will see Brides step away from mason jars and burlap and go for more sleek or modern details. The woodland wedding will include lots of natural elements, like wood or birchbark containers and lots of fresh flowers and greenery.
