Wedding Trends for 2015: Colors!

I am back with another look into the predicted wedding trends for 2015. If you missed the first post on wedding themes, you can see it here: http://flyboynaturals.com/blog/wedding-trends-for-...

Read on to learn about the hot wedding colors for 2015!

Color is a big part of wedding design and style. It can really help set the tone and mood for your event. Your wedding colors can appear in everything from the wedding invites to the cake, so you want to make sure you choose a color palette that works for you and your event. And notice how I said palette. You should pick a main color, accent colors and a few neutrals. You don't want a solid sea of purple, for instance, you want pops of purple that accent the most important details of your wedding.

Pantone introduced the 2015 color of the year as Marsala, an earthy red wine or red brown color, so there's no doubt this color will make an appearance in the wedding world. It is a flattering color for Bridesmaids and many wedding experts expect to see this color used as an accent, like in the napkins, dishware, and flowers.

In addition to the color of the year, there are several other colors that will appear in many 2015 weddings, such as metallics like rose gold and cooper, and jewel tones like deep purple, fuchsia, and even brighter and bolder peaches and yellows.

Metallics are in. All metallics. And while rose gold and cooper are expected to the be the top tones, you can't go wrong with gold and silver either. The key to using metallics is to not go overboard. Use metallics as an accent. Metallic invites, floral containers and even metallic cakes are all popular for 2015. Are you a trendsetter?

Try mixing metallics for a super hip look.

Pastels will always be popular for weddings, but look for 2015 to bring more jewel tones. Rich reds, deep purples, hot pinks and fuchsia. Even brighter and bolder shades of peach and yellow.

Look for these colors to appear in the flowers especially, but also in the details. Another great way to incorporate these colors into your wedding… Freeze Dried Rose Petals. Add color to your wedding aisle, centerpieces or cake table and get a great photo op by doing a petal toss as you exit.
