The Best Petals for a Winter Wedding

The Best Petals for a Winter Wedding

If you’ve never been to a winter wedding, let me tell you first hand, they are amazing! A dear friend of mine had a winter wedding a few years ago set in beautiful Lake Tahoe, California and I quickly understood the appeal for winter nuptials.

For starters, most venues offer discounted rates during the winter months because it’s not as popular a time of year to have a wedding so you don’t pay the summer premiums. Then, there’s the natural beauty of the winter landscape, a beautiful snowy day can make for quite the romantic wedding backdrop! Add to that, many venues do a ton of decorating for the holidays already, so you can focus your time on decorating details like rose petals.  Are you ready for a few of our favorite freeze-dried petals for winter weddings?

First up is Bridal Red, one of our most popular petals year round, but let us assure you this brilliant red petal looks absolutely stunning against a blanket of freshly fallen snow. Bundle up and head outdoors for a rose petal toss that is sure to wow your guests as these beauties fall down around a snowy landscape. Slip a few into your wedding invitations as a hint of what’s to come on your big day.

Winter weddings and Hot Cocoa go perfectly together and so do our Hot Cocoa Freeze Dried Rose Petals! The deep chocolate brown and red tones would look incredible sprinkled around the Hot Cocoa Bar at your wedding reception or lining a snowy aisle way to the altar.

Next in the lineup is our unique Love & Peace Rose Petal, this bicolored beauty offers a winter white petal tipped in dark pink and looks perfect paired with traditional holiday greenery or sprinkled across an indoor winter wedding aisle.

Iceberg is an eco-friendly freeze dried petal in a beautiful off white and ivory shade. These beauties would look incredible tossed over the bride and groom for a cascade of snow-like petals after the kiss. Their teardrop shape makes them an ideal choice for a winter wedding and helps bring that winter wonderland look indoors.

For an iconic winter blend of rich, crimson reds and snowy whites we recommend Kelsey’s Blend. This blend is a perfect match for your indoor or outdoor winter wedding with the contrasting colors ensuring the petals are a focal point on your big day. Can’t you just imagine walking down an aisle full of these beauties?

Still haven’t come up with Something Blue for your winter wedding? We have a perfect petal blend just for you! This blend combines delicate light blue hydrangea petals with ivory rose petals for a sweet touch of blue. Sprinkle them around your centerpieces, decorate your cake table or place these in your flower girls basket for a perfect cool blue winter wedding theme. They look great with silvery-greens like dusty miller or lambs ear?
