Color Series: Romantic Reds | Flyboy Naturals

Red is the color of Love with red roses sending the classic, “I love you” message. But the color red can also convey passion, desire and romance. Red is an intense and energetic color. In the wedding world we often see red and white used together, and when mixed these colors are said to symbolize unity and commitment. Perhaps one of the reasons it is such a popular choice for weddings.

One of my favorite palettes including the color red is a monochromatic palette of reds, from bright red to dark red… add in a neutral color like white, black, or even gray and you have a classic and romantic color palette. For a Spring or Summer event add in a few pops of pink to soften the look and in the Fall pair it with other Fall colors like orange or purple. Love the combo of red and green but don’t want your event to scream Christmas? Try pairing shades of deep, dark red with brighter or softer shades of green, like a lime or sage green.

The color Red can be used for just about any style too. Having a rustic wedding, try pairing red with a wheat or sandy tan. For a modern look pair the vibrant color with black, grey or even yellow. Vintage or boho more your style, use pops of red in a mix of eclectic colors.
