Rose Quartz and Serenity: The Pantone Colors of the Year for 2016!

Pantone recently announced the color of the year for 2016...or should I say colors! Yup, they decided to go with 2 colors this year and they are... Rose Quartz and Serenity.

Rose Quartz is a pale pink, "like a serene sunset, flushed cheek or budding flower, Rose Quartz reminds us to reflect on our surroundings during the busy but lighthearted spring and summer months," while Serenity is a soft blue with undertones of lavender, "weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, Serenity comforts with a calming effect, bringing a feeling of respite even in turbulent times."

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, explains, “Joined together Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”
