More Color Trends for Spring Weddings 2017

In our last blog we shared 5 Color Trends for Spring Weddings 2017, today we want to show you 5 more colors that Pantone, the color institute, is predicting to be equally HOT this spring! If you missed the first 5 colors you can find those here: http://flyboynaturals.com/blog/5-color-trends-for-spring-weddings-2017/

Together, all ten colors represent a wide array of options from the bright and vivid Flame Orange and Pink Yarrow to the neutral Hazelnut and Pale Dogwood. There are plenty of earthy colors like Kale Green, Greenery and multiple shades of blue! We’re going to walk you through the five colors and show you how they can be used as a featured wedding color, then we’ll show you just how well this mixture can all come together with some beautiful inspiration photos. And of course, we’ve laid out all the perfect petal pairings from Flyboy Naturals so if you pick any of these colors for your big day, the petals are already paired for you!

1. Flame

Like its namesake this color is red-orange like the warm glow of a flame. It’s fun, vibrant and adds some heat to the spring color palette! It pairs perfectly with the blues and pinks that follow in the collection. To achieve this look with Flyboy Naturals rose petals try our Living Easy Preserved Freeze Dried Rose Petals these stunning petals are currently In Stock but they are a Limited Edition item so order them while you can! They are a perfect petal for tossing or tuck a handful into your wedding invites like our friends over at Cool Invitation Ideas did in the bottom right photo below.

2. Pink Yarrow

The Pantone Color Institute describes this deep pink as “tropical and festive” and we couldn’t agree more! This is another fun, vibrant and bold spring color, and one we often don’t see highlighted until summer. It adds a sense of playfulness and girlishness to a wedding palette. Pink Yarrow is almost a perfect match with our Falling in Love Rose Petals, these petals are our #1 selling deep pink petal. The best part is freeze dried petals will last a long time, are non-slippery and non-staining and we just love the way our customer shaped them into a heart on a sandy beach for their anniversary.

3. Niagara

This cool blue has just enough gray undertones to keep it warm and inviting. It’s described as “comfortable and dependable”, perhaps like the blue of a river, ocean or sky, a constant anchor and the perfect background color for a spring wedding. This is actually the leading color in the spring collection and predicted to be, “...the most prevalent color for Spring 2017.” To achieve this look with Flyboy Naturals Rose Petals we suggest our Periwinkle Lilac Petal Blend the all natural, eco-friendly and biodegradable petals are lightly fragrant, add a beautiful touch of texture and luxury to any wedding.

4. Kale

The name just about says it all when it comes to this earthy green color. It’s hard to get the image of Kale, the leafy cabbage plant, out of your mind but this green is perfect for wedding foliage, natural wedding backgrounds and it complements the more vibrant colors in this palette perfectly. We’re pairing this one up with our Green Preserved Freeze Dried Hydrangea Petals.

5. Lapis Blue

Completing the palette is the beautiful and strong Lapis Blue. Use it in your wedding water features, find it in the dark evening sky or use it as a stand alone color like the bride below did with her groomsmen's suits. Around Flyboy Naturals farm we see it in our field of blooming blue hydrangea flowers! We don’t have any freeze dried petals in this beautiful blue, but we may have some fresh cut blue hydrangeas to offer later in the season!

Bringing It All Together

It’s easy to see how each of these colors can work alone, but now let’s see how we can bring them all together with some real wedding inspiration. These colors remind me of a warm sunset, the deep Lapis Blue in the evening skyline or water, Kale green in the spring grasses and trees alive with the season’s new growth, Flame orange, and Pink Yarrow in the rays of a setting sun.

When Christine and Adam got married in Sayulita, Mexico in 2012, fun pops of color brightened their entire wedding. We see lots of pinks, oranges, and greens in their floral arrangements, wedding decor and the natural background setting with green grass, ocean views and blue skies.

The wedding took place at Brisa del Mar Palapa and with event planning by Sayulita Dream Weddings. Christine says that she likes things “clean and simple” nothing “overly fussy” and she felt like, “...that mindset translated throughout the day.”
